The first lady also the minister for Education and sports Ms. Janet Museveni has lauded the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) for a 99% excellent performance over the years according to reports.
In a speech presented on her behalf by the state minister for primary education Moricu Kaducu, the education minister noted human capital is the most valuable asset and emphasized the need to focus more on human resources since it is key to social-economic development.
She says NCDC has enabled govt to focus on an effective and efficient secondary education that emphasizes workplace competency.
This has been during the launch of the NCDC 50th anniversary ahead of the grand event in March 2023 held under the theme, “Celebrating 50 years of Curriculum Development; Quality Curricula for National Transformation”
NCDC which is now governed under an Act of parliament was first established in 1973 under UNESCO.
