Religious leaders are free to take government offers as long as they are not diverted from their mission.
The Archbishop of York Dr. John Ssentumu says there is nothing wrong with religious leaders receiving gifts from government or politicians.
Ssentumu’s remarks come as some religious leaders who received vehicles and other gifts from government are under attack from their peers who accuse them of being compromised.
Meanwhile, the archbishop is expected to lead a Holy Communion service at parliament this morning.
According to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga, the special service starts at 11:00am.
