Interpol Uganda has dismissed reports that it has received communication from their South African counterparts to exhume Ivan Ssemwanga’s grave to establish whether he is indeed dead.

This follows unverified accounts and speculation on social media that Semwanga forged his death.

Speaking to the media today, Assan Kasingye the police spokesperson said they have not received any such communication and no formal case about the allegations of forged death has been filed .

He said that until a formal complaint has been lodged, Ssemwanga’s death will be treated as real.
