Members of Parliament under the Network of African Women Ministers and Parliament are set to mark this year’s independence celebrations differently.
They will join health practioners to conduct a national ward tour.
According to the Network chairperson Sylvia Namabidde, the tour will be conducted under the theme, “minimizing the three delays that cause death occurring during pregnancy and child birth”.
The tour will be led by health minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda running from October 6th to 8th.
Namabidde adds that they will also focus on four intervention measures; Access to emergency obstetric care and Skilled attendants at birth.
The others are universal access to family planning services and access to antenatal care.
