The inspector general of police has with immediate effected suspend four senior officers, who were implicated in enforcing a false court order in the eviction of traders in Jinja in the year 2011.

Yesterday the inspector general of police Gen Kale Kayihura appeared before the land commission of inquiry where he admitted that his officers under the command of the then DPC Apollo Kateba enforced an  illegal eviction that saw destruction of several shops along  Aldina Visram road in.

Now upon commencement of the investigation, the inspector general has suspended these officers including Apollo Kateba who is the current Regional police commander Rwenzori,Twinomujuni Julius from directorate of human rights , Nyabongo Edgar the current regional police commander Kidepo, and Mugizi alex who is now the district police commander Kumi.

According to the suspension letter undersigned by the inspector general of police gen kale kayihura, this has been done to enable the commission do its investigations with a lot of ease.
