The Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura has removed Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander barely two months after he was appointed.
Commissioner Benjamin Namanya has been replaced by Assistant Inspector General of Police, Abas Byakagaba, as the substantive commander Kampala Metropolitan.
Senior Commissioner Ahmed Wafuba, who has been operating in Internal Affairs Ministry, is now the commander Oil and Gas Unit.
Namanya has been sent to the directorate of Human Resource Development to do special duties.
