The Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura has transferred and appointed five senior police officers in yet another mini reshuffle, second in a period of three weeks.
The press statement issued on Friday evening, presented; two senior commissioners of police (SCP), one Commissioner of Police (CP), one Assistant Commissioner of Police(ACP) and one Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP).
The police officers include SCP Christopher Obace, transferred from the Directorate of Operations and appointed Deputy Director Welfare under the Directorate of Production and Welfare.
The transfer of Mr Obace follows the earlier appointment of Mr Haruna Isabirye, his junior officer, to the position of Director of operations, replacing Mr Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
The reshuffle comes barely a month after the transfer of Mr Andrew Felix Kaweesi from the Police Director of Operations, to head the Force’s Human Resource Development.
CP John Nuwagira was also transferred from the Field Force Unit and appointed Deputy Director Operations under the Directorate of Operations.
Those appointed include; SCP Charles Birungi appointed Deputy Director Production in the Directorate of Welfare and Production, and ACP Fadhil Kaalias the Field Force Unit
Also, SSP Fred Kyomukama was appointed Deputy Commander Field Force Unit.
