Government is set to establish Internally Displaced Camps within Adjumani district to accommodate Moyo residents who have deserted their homes following numerous border clashes.

The state minister for disaster preparedness Musa Ecweru has instructed Rose Nauabugo, the assistant commissioner at the OPM to liaise with other implementing partners to ensure that the people who fled from Moyo district         do not die of hunger.

Since the beginning of the clashes in Moyo district, several residents have crossed to seek for safe haven in the neighboring Adjumani district.

Those who fled their homes were mainly women and children who are currently being accommodated in schools and churches because they have nowhere to reside.

This however, comes after leaders from both Uganda and South Sudan agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to stop the clashes.
