The office of the attorney general is not decided on whether to appeal the constitutional court ruling on the position of chief Justice.
In an exclusive interview with KFM, the attorney general Peter Nyombi said that he is still studying the ruling and will later make a decision.
Nyombi however regarded as baseless remarks by one of the justices that his office had not done enough in advising the president on the constitutional provision on the appointment of the chief justice.
In his ruling, Justice Remmy Kasule blamed the petition on the failure by the attorney general to advise the president.
Yesterday, the constitutional court ruled that retired chief Justice could not be re-appointed to lead the judiciary after clocking the retirement age of 70.
