House help charged with murder of baby
A house help has been sent to jail for allegedly killing her boss’ two month old baby.
23 year old Mercy Natukunda has been charged with murder before City Hall Court Grade One Magistrate Juliet Hatanga who did not allow her to answer to the offence because it is of a capital nature only triable by the High Court.
Prosecution alleges that Natukunda on January 25th this year while at Kiwatule with malice aforethought unlawfully killed a two month old baby.
According to the evidence on record Natukunda allegedly slid in the house with the baby and he died instantly.
She has been remanded to Luzira prison until March 21st when she will re-appear for mention of the case.
