Residents of Kibuli have woken up to the shocking news of a house which collapsed last night killing a mother and her 2 children.
The deaths occurred at Agip zone in Kibuli, a Kampala suburb.
The deceased have been identified as Annet Nabwire and her two children Wenger and Mai.
The house was reportedly weakened by the heavy rains that pounded most parts of Kampala last night
Another family of a mother and her two children in the next room of the same house survived with serious injuries.
She has been identified as Among Maureen, a vendor at St Balikudembe market.
Speaking to Kfm the area Local Council I chairman Salongo Kamoga has expressed grief over the loss, calling on government to come to the rescue of most residents living in appalling conditions.
The police have taken the bodies of the deceased to the mortuary while the injured have been taken Kibuli hospital for treatment.
