The ministry of health has confirmed that the strange disease that was reported in Hoima district two weeks ago has been contained.
The disease which was confirmed to be dysentery killed 6 people and the 9 that had been admitted in hospital have since been discharged.
The incident occurred in Kiyola village.
The ministry’s public relations officer Rukia Nakamatte says no new cases have been registered since then.
