Actress, model, fashion designer and singer well known for her roles as Patra on The Hostel and Hellen Mutungi in Beneath The Lies, rose to fame as a member of the all girl music group The Obsessions before she ventured into modelling, fashion design and acting, fast rising and is now getting recognition on the international scene after she got a nomination in the BEFFTA awards 2017.
The BEFFTA awards were founded by Pauline Long a former organizer of Mr and Miss East Africa UK and are aimed at honoring the outstanding achievements and contributions in showbiz and entertainment in the black and ethnic communities in the UK, USA, Africa, Caribbean, Canada and globally
Hellen will be hoping to to get this one in the Bag but is facing Stiff competition from Nigeria’s Wema epetu, Eniola badmus, the legendary Mercy Johnson, Weru Cheopia a U.K-based Nigerian film and stage actress and entrepreneur, Miss Tanzania 2006 Wema Sepetu and Ghana’s JOSELYN DUMAS if she is to win the gong for Best actress 2017.
