The renovation and fixing of new items of Mityana General hospital is on going ahead of the preparations for its commissioning by His Excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni tomorrow, Wednesday.
According to Mityana District, over Shs2.1b was spent on construction of the hospital that was completed in 2017 and has been operating since then.
Over 300 to 450 patients who seek treatment from this hospital are from districts like Mityana, Kassanda, Kiboga, Kyankwanzi, Gomba and some parts of Mpigi. However, the hospital lacks a functioning x-ray machine and an ultra sound scan.
According to the Mityana Resident District Commissioner, Isha Ntumwa , they hope that the coming of President Museveni to Mityana will change the situation at Mityana hospital.
He says Mityana hospital had an xray machine and an ultra sound scan machine which broke down two years ago.
