The ministry of health has issued an Ebola alert following the death of a Ugandan doctor.
Dr. Samuel Muhumuza succumbed to the Ebola virus in Liberia where he had been working for three years.
The Ebola outbreak has left over 400 people dead and over 700 affected in West Africa.
The Health Minister Dr. Rukahana Rugunda says though the country has not yet reported any Ebola case, government is on high alert.
Rugunda adds that they have also sent a team of experts led by the state minister for health in charge of general duties Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye to Accra, Ghana to work out potential strategies of containing the epidemic.
