The government has earmarked over Shs29 billion to expand and renovate the Makerere University College of Business and Management Science.

The state minister for finance and economic development, Amos Lugoloobi says the money will help in the construction of a new building that will house the school.

He says the current building is too small to accommodate the increasing number of students at the college.

He says currently, with the new environment of learning which is being adopted by learning institutions due to COVID-19, smart technology should be installed in such buildings to facilitate the learners to get what is required of them.

He says, therefore, the buildings which are going to be constructed will be smart enough to meet the required standards.
