The First Lady who also doubles as the Minister of Education and Sports Ms, Janet Museveni has urged parents and teachers to be patient ahead of schools’ re-opening in January next year.

She says Government does not benefit from the continued closure of schools and that it only seeks to ensure the safety of learners.

President Museveni recently announced that tertiary institutions will open at the beginning of November this year and the rest of the learners in January next year.

Ms Museveni says the selection dates for senior one and senior five along with a comprehensive Calendar will also be released asking schools and parents to prepare adequately.

She meanwhile emphasized the need to embrace e-learning across the country.

She made the remarks while commissioning a newly rebuilt Corby house dormitory at Gayaza High School in Wakiso District.
