Government will consider compensating some of manufacturers following the recent enforcement of the ban on polythene bags commonly known as Kaveera.
This comes as environmental agencies continue with operation that has led to the confiscation of tons of polythene bags below 30 microns from city supermarkets.
This has prompted an outcry from some investors who are now demanding for compensation from government.
Speaking on the sidelines of a national dialogue on sustainable development goals, the state minister for environment Flavia Munaaba said government will consider compensating some of them.
