Government has allocated 75bn shillings for rehabilitation of laboratories, libraries and art rooms at Kyambogo University.
This has been revealed by the education minister Jesica Alupo while officiating at the 11th graduation ceremony of Kyambogo University.
Alupo says that the president is expected to commission the reconstruct project in the next three days.
Alupo has also hailed the university management for the peace that has prevailed at the institution for the past one year saying it exhibited capacity of the management and the ministry to address the challenges.
Students of the school of management and Faculty of special needs and rehabilitation have graduated today.
A total of 7,200 students are expected to graduate in an exercise that runs until Friday this week.
Three students has emerged as best performers tying at a CGP of 4.89. They are Opio Andrew from the Faculty of Education, Jogh Lubaale from that of Science and Albert Agaba from the Faculty of Engineering.
