The long awaited day for reopening of the Uganda Rwanda border is here
Traders in Uganda are all set to do business again as the government of Rwanda today reopens its Gatuna Katuna border post after nearly 3 years of closure
The Rwanda Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement issued last week said the border post was set to be open today following last week’s meeting between the country’s president Paul Kagame and Uganda commander of the land forces and President Museveni’s special advisor on special duties Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba .
Uganda’s ministry of foreign affairs says the government remains committed toward resolving all the pending issues between the two countries, as well as addressing any other obstacles towards the cordial relations.
