Works minister Ntege Azuba has maintained the order by the Transport Licensing Board of suspending the operation of Gaagaa bus company operations for one month.
The United Bus Owners Association had threatened to lay down tools today if government did not rescind its decision.
However, Azuba while responding to MPs’ concerns over Gaagaa service suspension said the company’s license will remain suspended until a number of issues have been rectified.
Buses belonging to Gaagaa have in the past been involved in a number of fatal accidents, the latest being the one on May 25th in Kiryandongo district in which over 20 people died.
