Fresh riots have erupted in Moyo district this morning, just a day after a peaceful demonstration over a disputed border land turned violent.
The Moyo Resident District Commissioner John Abingwa says a group of youths woke up this morning and began burning tyres in the middle of the roads in Moyo town.
Yesterday, the demonstration led by the LCV chairman Jimmy Vukoni, turned violent when residents burnt down 15 grass thatched houses and a Pentecostal church belonging to South Sudan nationals.
Abingwa has blamed a section of politicians for inciting the public.
The riots come in the wake of a dispute over ownership of a piece of land on the Uganda-South Sudan border.
