NRM Members of Parliament have been urged not to be hoodwinked into voting in favour of removing the presidential age limit.
This follows allegations that the MPs attending the party’s annual retreat at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi are discussing the possibility of removing presidential age limit from the current 75 years.
While addressing the media today, the former vice president Gilbert Bukenya said that while still the vice president in 2005, they were tricked by president Museveni to remove term limits on grounds that the ballot would be the only determinant of how long one rules.
However the party spokesperson Ofwono Opondo yesterday denied the allegation.
