More calls are being made for the president to take action against the Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi.
The now embattled prime minister has been widely accused of destabilizing the ruling NRM party, a claim he denies.
This has seen his powers trimmed by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) caucus with his mobilization role as secretary general given to minister without portfolio Richard Todwong.
Now the former Information and Communication Technology minister Aggrey Awori says that unless Mbabazi is sacked, the leadership wrangles within the NRM will not end.
He has advised the president who is also the NRM national chairman to dismiss Mbabazi immediately and save the party.
