The race for the FDC party president is gaining moment with more members expressing interest.
The latest is former Member of Parliament for Kumi district Patrick Amuriat who has picked the nomination forms to contest for the FDC presidency, becoming the fourth person to join the race.
This has been confirmed by the FDC deputy Secretary General, Harold Kaija.
On Monday three candidates including Mubarak Munyagwa, the Member of Parliament for Kawempe South, Moses Byamugisha former youth league leader and Dan Malcolm Masiko, a party member picked the forms.
The current party president Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu whose term expires in November is eligible for another term in office.
The exercise which started on Monday runs upto August 12th.
Nomination of candidates will then be held on August 15th and 16 before the campaigns kick off from 17th August to 17th November.
