Fire has gutted the Egean House located along Kampala Road.
The fire is said to have started from the second floor with some people allegedly still trapped in the building.
Business is paralyzed and Kampala Road has been closed as police struggles to put out the fire whose cause is yet to be established.
Some of the affected shops include Bata shoe company.
According to KFM’s Herbert Zziwa, plumes of smoke are seen coming out of the building.
Meanwhile we also spoke to some of the traders operating on the building who are counting losses.
