FDC’s Kizza Besigye arrested days before elections

FDC presidential flag bearer Dr Kiiza Besigye has been detained at Kira road police station.

Besigye who was briefly detained at CPS was later driven transferred to Kira road.

He was arrested together Kampala woman MP, Nabirah Naggayi Sempala.

Besigye’s lawyer and city lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has also already arrived at the station.

Besigye was blocked at Jinja road traffic lights as he proceeded to Nakasero Market and Arua Park where he had planned to address supporters as he continues with his campaigns in Kampala.
