The opposition Forum for Democratic Change National Executive Council has raised the nomination fees for members wishing to contest for the party presidency from Sh3m to Shs 5m.

The decision was reached during the NEC meeting held at the party headquarters in Najjanakumbi ahead of the presidential elections scheduled for November.

Speaking to KFM, the Deputy Secretary General Harold Kaija says the committee approved the other guidelines but only changed the nomination fees so those interested in the party’s top position should be able to pay the 5 million non-refundable fee.
