The opposition Forum for Democratic Change has welcomed the move by president Yoweri Museveni to have the atrocities allegedly committed by the NRA investigated.
During the NRM Day celebrations recently, the president highlighted the Mukura railway incident, Burcoro pili-pili massacre among others.
Now the newly appointed leader of opposition Wafula Oguttu says a truth and reconciliation committee should be formed to unearth crimes committed even after 1986.
Oguttu however says the process should not be used to target senior army officers who are now in the opposition.
