The opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party Whip, Yusuf Nsibambi has led his colleagues in appending signatures to the petition for a censure motion intended to recall the four Commissioners of Parliament from office for allocating themselves Shs1.7Bn in Service Awards.

Nsibambi who doubles as the Mawokota South MP told journalists after signing the motion that their move is intended to give the accused colleagues an opportunity to account to Ugandans on how they have been conducting business in Parliament.

“Ugandans deserve to know exactly what happened and the basis of these awards”, he said.

Agnes Taaka, Bugiri Woman representative who also appended her signature to the petition says it is intended to hold the embattled Commissioners accountable and have them explain the various allowances they have been drawing as members of the Parliamentary Commission.

Theodore Ssekikubo (Lwemiyaga County) who is leading the collection of signatures commended Nsibambi and team for joining the cause against corruption.
