Farmers’ leaders are not happy with the president’s decision to dissolve the entire NAADS Programme.

Early this week President Yoweri Museveni ordered cabinet to dissolve the entire program citing mismanagement of funds.

The president of the Uganda Farmers Federation John Ogang says the government should have dealt with the culprits involved in mismanaging funds and strengthen the capacity of farmers’ bodies to spearhead the programme.

He says despite the irregularities raised, many rural farmers benefited from the program.
