Fake helmets

 BODA CYCLISTS

The Uganda National Bureau of Standards has rejected a sample of helmets procured by KCCA for commercial motor cyclists .

The Executive Director National Bureau of Standards Ben Manyindo says that all helmets have tested Negative to impact, meaning that they cannot protect lives in case of a crash.

KCCA brought the samples last year prior to the registration of motorcycles, as an incentive to encourage more people to register.

Manyindo says the city authority will now have to outsource other competent companies to supply it with other samples.
