Government will require more than 20 billion shillings to extend registration for IDs in parishes.
Internal Affairs minister, Aronda Nyakairima says calls for extension of the exercise can only be done if these funds are provided, however the project was already budgeted for.
Responding to concerns by MPs on the Defence committee over calls over the same, Aronda says Ugandans should take advantage of the continuous registration exercise at the sub counties.
More than 14 million Ugandans have so far been registered in the exercise.
