The Electoral Commission has today dispatched voting materials for the Buhweju by election.
Addressing a news conference at the commission headquarters this morning, the chairman Badru Kigundu also announced that campaigns officially end today.
He says all candidates must ensure they close their campaign activities 6:00pm.
Kiggundu adds that they received official communication yesterday regarding withdrawal of one of the candidates Alison Byamukama from the race.
He however says that by then the commission had already concluded production of ballot papers and declaration of results forms.
He therefore appeals to voters to take note of the changes and that posters will be displayed at all the 120 pollings stations notifying them of the candidate’s withdrawal.
This leaves only FDC’s Jane Fridah Bwiruka and the NRM’s Oliver Koyechenga in the race.
The Buhweju district Woman parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of Joy Kariisa last month.
