The Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly, Dan Kidega is focused on passing key laws when the House resumes business this month.
The Assembly is expected to resume in Arusha, Tanzania on January 17th, weeks after Kidega replaced Margaret Zziwa as Speaker.
Speaking to the media shortly after meeting the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga today, Kidega said the leadership crisis delayed business in the House, which he hopes to also address through working with all members.
Some of the bills on table include the East Africa Cooperative Society bill; Electronic Transfer bill; East Africa Trade Negotiation repeal bill and East Africa Education integration bill.
