Innovators who can come up with effective strategies to cut costs on transport stand a chance to receive grants ranging from 200,000 to750, 000 US.
The competition, dubbed “Logistics Innovation for Trade”-and managed by Trade Mark East Africa will provide grants ranging from 200,000 to750, 000 US dollars to winning proposals from innovators across the country, whose ideas can be implemented in East Africa.
It seeks to identify innovative approaches to tackling freight and transport costs in East Africa which is the highest in the world.
The organization’s Challenge Fund manager, Isaac Njoroge, says want to see East Africa adopt logistical technologies to compete with the rest of the world.
