The Democratic Party National Council has set June 26th as the date to address all the grievances that culminated from the party’s grass root elections.
This is after a faction of party members led by Bukoto –East Constituency MP, Rose Namayanja threatened to shun the delegate’s conference unless their issues were resolved.
The party’s Secretary General, Matthias Nsubuga says the decision to hold this crucial meeting to ensure cohesion ahead of the delegates’ conference.
Yesterday another group of disgruntled members stormed the DP headquarters at City House causing commotion.
The scuffle left several people injured, and windows on the party president’s office smashed.
The conference that kicks off on July 23rd running until 26th will see the party electing the president, vice president, national and regional chairpersons among others.
