The Uganda Communications Commission has confirmed that equipment needed for digital migration will be in the country before the end of this month.
The commission’s Media Relations Manager Isaac Kalembe says this is meant to beat the June 17th deadline.
Kalembe says the commission’s engineers will have the entire month of May to connect the machines onto the 17 masts spread out across the country.
Digital migration is the process in which broadcasting services offered on the traditional analog technology are replaced with highly mechanized networks over a specific period.
