The deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah has unveiled a 23-man taskforce to lead his fight for speakership.
The move is however in defiance of a directive by the NRM electoral head Dr Tanga Odoi against such actions.
This taskforce is to be headed by Godfrey Kiwanda who also doubles as the chairperson Buganda parliamentary Caucus.
According to Kiwanda members have been drawn from within the NRM party across the country and are tasked with ensuring that Oulanyah wins this race.
This comes as the incumbent speaker Rebecca Kadaga continues to canvass for support even before the NRM party endorses a candidate.
