The Democratic Party has called off the National Council meeting that had been scheduled for today.

The meeting was aimed at resolving all the issues that were brought forward regarding on the recent grass root elections.

The urgent meeting was called after a faction of party members led by Masaka woman MP, Rose Namayanja threatened to shun the delegate’s conference once their grievances are not solved.

The party’s Secretary General, Matthias Nsubuga says they cannot have the meeting before handling the fracas that occurred at the DP headquarters on Tuesday this week.

Nsubuga says what they want is to first put the party in order before handling any other business.
