The Democratic Alliance has rejected applications from a splinter group created by the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.

DP president Norbert Mao, who is also a member of the Alliance says only seven political parties and two pressure groups which were already in existence before Lukwago formed his group will be recognized.

Mao says they have established a committee led by former Buganda Kingdom Prime Minister Mulwanyumuli Ssemowogerere to address grievances by Lukwago’s group and any other disagreements that will emerge from any party.
