The Catholic Church of Vatican has set between 27th to 29th November when Pope Francis will come to Uganda and Central African Republic.
This comes week after the Pope confirmed his plan to travel to Africa in November during a meeting with hundreds of priests from around the world participating in the Third World Priests Retreat in the Basilica of St. John Lateran.
The pontiff also added that it is possible that he may also go to Kenya, but said this is not certain, because of organizational challenges.
Pope Francis is coming to Uganda to mark the 50th anniversary of Pope Paul VI’s cononisation of the 22 Uganda martyrs who were executed for their faith on the orders of Kabaka Mwanga.
After visits to Sri Lanka and the Philippines in January, Pope Francis is due to visit Ecuador, Bolivia and Paraguay next month and in September, he will travel to Cuba and the United States.
