Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has won the UEFA Best Player in Europe award after a phenomenal 2015-2016 season which saw him win his third Champions League title.
The 31-year-old, who won Europe’s elite competition with Manchester United in 2008 and Real in 2014, added to that tally at the San Siro in May.
Ronaldo was joined by fellow Los Blancos maestro Gareth Bale, and Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, in the final three nominees.
Before capping off a remarkable campaign by winning Euro 2016 with Portugal, Ronaldo scored 51 club goals in 48 appearances last season, laying on 15 assists for his team-mates.
In the Champions League he struck home an incredible 16 goals in 12 games en route to lifting the trophy, with four assists.
