The Crest foam fire victims will be compensated after a police report is issued.

During a Meeting with the minister for trade and industries Amelia Kyambadde, Crest Foam Managing Director Roseline Kateeba said the factory management is equally saddened by the deaths and the property lost.

Kateeba said the factory was insured and therefore those affected will be compensated as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, she has refuted reports that the company lacked safety measures saying the workers had undergone several drills on occupational health and safety with different government agencies.

Police says its report will be out in five days and will include results of the DNA tests conducted on the bodies yesterday.

Six people perished in Monday’s fire incident at the mattress factory in Ntinda.
