Relatives of the six victims of a fire that gutted Crest Foam Factory have thronged Uganda Analytical Laboratories in Wandegeya to offer blood samples for DNA tests.

Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango said the process will be managed locally, contrary to earlier reports that indicated that the DNA samples would be flown out of the country.

Onyango says they have managed to get all the blood samples of the relatives and the process of finding out synonymous protein matches has already started.

Doctors drew samples from only biological mothers of the deceased, some of whom were transported from villages as far as Tororo district.

The deceased include Cyrus Sooka, Stephen Owere, Ofwono Agal, Joseph Oboth, Gerald Oyo and a company driver only identified as Eddy.
