More support is going to the Kasese floods victims.
The Uganda Red Cross Society has now embarked on provision of psycho-social support to the traumatized families.
A team of Red Cross psycho-social support experts are in Kasese to train 30 volunteers.
The Society Spokesperson Catherine Ntabadde says the counseling and psycho-social support will be provided to displaced people in camps.
Ntabadde says although the floods have been controlled, survivors are still facing a lot of challenges ranging from the shortage of safe water, medication, food and shelter among others.
The displaced families were placed in three camps of Kasese Primary School, Nkaiga Primary School and Bugoye Primary School and all have a total of 4905 people.
