The conjoined twins admitted at Mulago hospital are making progress, with consisted weight gain noted.
The twins were born early last month and remain admitted at Mulago Hospital.
Tests conducted show that the twins who are joined at the abdomen share a liver and they are due for separation in an operation to be conducted by doctors at Mulago Hospital.
The doctors however say the operation cannot be conducted unless the twins jointly weigh 10 Kilograms.
The babies’ mother Rosette Tusiime says the twins now weigh 6.29kgs, up from 5.8kilograms last month.
Tusiime attributes the weight gain to constant breastfeeding and the special diet recommended by the medical personnel.
