Another member of parliament has been thrown out.

Parliament’s Rules, Privileges and Discipline Committee has recommended that Bubuulo West MP Tonny Nsubuga Kipoi be thrown out.

This follows a probe into Kipoi’s conduct after he missed more than 15 sittings of the House without explanation.

The recommendations have been presented by the committee chairperson Fox Odoi and now await adoption by the House.

They include among others; the Kipoi ceases to be member of parliament, that the process of his replacement be initiated in accordance with Article 81; 2 of the Constitution of Uganda and that parliament adopts the committee recommendations.

The same committee last year recommended the removal of Gen. David Ssejusa as army MP after he also missed more than 15 sittings of the House without notifying the Speaker.

Parliament later adopted the report, paving way for his removal.
