Civil society organizations have condemned the decision passed by Members of Parliament to award themselves 103 million shillings each, for purchase of motor vehicles.
The money was approved by the Parliamentary Commission and payments are already being made to some MPs.
Speaking to KFM, the Executive Director of the Anti-Corruption Coalition Uganda Cissy Kagaba condemned the act, which he says is a huge disappointment in the 9th Parliament.
Kagaba says the MPs offered false hope of being different from the previous ones in protecting public interests.
