City Traders under the Kampala City Traders Association have given government up to April 10th to address their concerns.
This followed a heated meeting where they threatened to hold a peaceful demonstration over what they call unfavorable business environment.
At the meeting held in Kampala yesterday, the traders cited issues like exorbitant taxes, high rental fees and foreign petty traders among others.
They now say that unless government comes out before the set date to address their concerns, they will have no option but to close their businesses and peacefully march to the Prime Minister’s Office as the association spokesperson IssaSekitto explains
KFM has learnt that the traders’ association leadership has been summoned to the office of the prime minister for a meeting soon.
